Life is not simple, but the plates we use everyday should be.
A medium sized plate approximately 8.5”.
This plate is purposely glazed in a less than perfected way.
It shows the beautiful speckled clay and reminds us to be playful.
I prefer a plate that can survive daily usage and the dishwasher.
These plates are somewhat utilitarian, rustic, but with a well tooled bottom finish.
My teen years were spent on an organic, self-sustaining farm.
That might show up in my work now and again.
